Hello. My name is Jeanine Lowry. I live west of Fort Dodge, Iowa. This is where
my husband, Matt, and I have chosen to raise our three young children.

Born and raised in Iowa, I have always loved horses. I loved the obvious beauty,
their regal, and powerful presence. Before I had a horse of my own, I would seek
out any opportunity to work with horses. Fortunately, I was able to find neighbors
and friends that would let me ride and help care for the horses they owned.
I was involved in 4-H and showed in many open shows. I have ridden and
competed in both English and Western style riding. I was also a member of the
American Quarter Horse Association, and competed nationally with some very
accomplished horsemen.

My first horse was a Quarter Horse named Cruiser. He became the first horse I
trained. I was 14 years old, and he was just green-broke. I attended every clinic
and read all the literature available so that I could teach myself. That is not to say
that I did not have great people willing to help me learn and improve upon my
self-taught techniques. I am grateful for the people who have contributed their time
and talents to teach me, and also grateful to have had the opportunity to ride with
and learn from some of the best known, as well as some of the unsung heroes.
Working with horses has been a journey for me, and I have been striving to
improve upon what I have learned throughout my life to better my skills.

I have enjoyed having horses in my life, no matter whether I am giving riding
lessons, training horses, or just riding on the trails. Sometimes I like to just watch
them, because you can learn so much from horses. I was continually looking for and
reading about new ways to work with horses, because even though I had much
success training them, there seemed to be something I was missing.

I found out about Natural Horsemanship while watching RFD TV.   I was
impressed with Natural Horsemanship and explanation of horsemanship, and thus
began my journey towards perfecting my own horsemanship. I studied any
information I could get about Horsemanship and Natural Horsemanship.

Good equitation/horsemanship (in any discipline) comes from being in harmony
between a horse and rider, a spirit of oneness. Natural Horsemanship can help
anyone achieve this type of harmony. Experiencing this relationship with your horse
is an unbelievable feeling. It is amazing to see the changes in both horse and rider
while working with Natural Horsemanship. I am excited to have an opportunity to
be able to help others learn valuable information and improve their performance and
relationship with their horses.

As part of my own continuing education I am a Certified Riding Instructor with the
American Association for Horsemanship Safety.  I am a ISU Master Equine
Manager and am working on my ARIA Certification.  I also take classes and attend
clinics to keep learning new skills and new or different ways of training horses or
just learn about horses in general. I have become a distributer fro Agri Best Feeds
after learning about their products. Never stop learning.

Email me to schedule a clinic, or private lesson and get to know the whole family.

I currently help with the Webster Co. 4H Horse Project
Hippology Team, Quiz
Bowl Team, and Judging Team.
